Governance
Established on March 29, 1995, in Karachi, under the Trust Act of 1882, our organization operates under the guidance of a dedicated Board of Trustees (BOT). Comprising highly qualified and experienced individuals from the region, these trustees oversee the management and implementation of our work. Notably, members of the Marafie family actively participate as Patron Trustees, with the Chief Patron Trustee taking a lead role in overseeing the Foundation’s operations and contributing to crucial policy decisions.

The BOT conducts regular meetings throughout the year, with Kuwait-based Patron Trustees participating in at least one annual meeting. Key responsibilities include approving the annual budget, evaluating new projects, reviewing annual audit reports, and appointing external auditors. The board also establishes the work plan for the upcoming year and assesses the progress toward established goals.
Financial and management control is meticulously maintained through standard accounting procedures for non-profit organizations. External auditors, from a reputable firm of Chartered Accountants, conduct an annual audit to ensure transparency and accountability.
